Terms & Conditions



  • These rules, which are designed to benefit all bona fide campers and tourers, set out general standards of conduct and behaviour expected of them. 
  • We will not accept any more than 2 units per booking. We do not accept under 25's. 


  • On arrival, campers and day visitors should register at reception. Pitches may not be available before midday at peak times. 


  • A non-refundable deposit of £35 per week or part week is required for each pitch booked in advance. Balance of payment is to be paid at least 28 days prior to arrival. Provisional bookings will be re-let if balance is not received. NO REFUNDS GIVEN. 
  • Any receipt of payment should be retained throughout the stay. 


  • Admission to the park implies a commitment to uphold the internal rules of the park. Tents or caravans/motorhomes should be placed only as directed by the wardens and may be transferred to other pitches, if the wardens think it is necessary to maintain the condition of the pitches. 
  • The warden is entitled to refuse admission when this appears to be necessary in the interests of the park occupants. No commercial vehicles are permitted to stay on the park. Trading in the park is forbidden except when authorised in writing by the warden. 


  • Keep the pitch tidy, with the minimum of equipment stored outside and tidily placed. Strictly only one tent/tourer/motorhome per pitch. Exact size of units must be accurately provided at time of booking. Larger units may have to book and pay for two pitches in order to comply with safety regulations. The maximum pitch occupancy is 6 persons (inc. the under 3s). A maximum of 2 units in a group are accepted. Single sex groups or under 25's are not accepted. 


  • Cars may be driven only directly between the park entrance and the pitch, and must never be driven above 5 m.p.h. within the park confines. It is essential to avoid leaving the car engine running, or revving unnecessarily and banging car doors at night. Cars must be parked within the boundaries of your pitch and as directed by the warden, but in any event must not encroach on neighbouring pitches. This also applies to any additional cars booked. 


  • Chemical toilets and wastewater containers must be emptied only in the places provided for the purpose, or in accordance with the instructions of the warden. 


  • Refuse must be placed in the receptacles provided. 


  • Please note maximum length of stay is 28 days. 


  • The washing of clothes and dishes is forbidden at taps which provide drinking water. Washing lines must not be hung from trees, shrubs or fences. 


  • The lighting of fires is forbidden, but proprietary barbecues are permitted, but must not be placed directly onto the ground. (Bricks are provided as necessary). The burning of wood on barbecues is forbidden. 


  • Dogs are not permitted in any of the buildings. Dogs must always be kept on a leash and other pets must be kept under proper control. They must not be allowed to foul the park and must strictly be exercised off the park. 


  • Musical instruments, audio equipment and similar appliances should be used considerately during the day, and not after 10.00pm. Between the hours of 11.00pm and 7.00am absolute quiet should be observed. The use of foul language, threatening behaviour or vandalism will not be tolerated and as a consequence all members of a party will be asked to leave and no refund will be given. 
  • Children must be under the supervision of their parents or guardians at all times. No cycling allowed on the park except in the designated area provided. 


  • Any games, particularly ball games, which might annoy or inconvenience others are forbidden, except in the designated areas provided. 


  • Respect the park and amenities. Do not damage plants, trees or grass and do not dig holes for any purpose whatsoever. Do not drop litter and do not intrude on your neighbour's privacy or pitch. 


  • You should leave the park by 11.00am at the latest. Ensure that the pitch is left as you would wish to find it on arrival. Late departure until 1.00pm or 5.00pm may be possible at a supplement, subject to availability. 


  • Accommodation on the park is provided on the condition that all the rules and instructions given by the management are observed. Any person in breach of these rules will be asked to leave the park and no refund will be given. 


  • Refunds for non pandemic cancellations are at the Managements discreation
  • Postponement and cancellation This clause explains when you, or we, may cancel or agree to postpone your holiday due to Government restrictions. We prefer that you postpone but will always allow you to cancel where the law gives you the right to do so. The rights in this clause are additional to any other rights either of us may have in our terms and conditions.  We promise to keep all our customers safe. We ask you not to book if the law prevents you visiting or staying with us, or if Government guidance means that you should not visit or stay with us even if the law still allows you to. Our promise also means that there are limited circumstances in which we may need to cancel your holiday. We have the right to cancel your holiday, or any full unused days, if Government guidance means that you should not visit or stay with us, even if the law still allows you to do so. If your holiday has not started, then we will refund your booking in full. If your holiday has started, then we will refund in full any full days unused when we cancel. We will not charge an administration fee and we will not deduct any Direct Costs.


  • Some facilities will be limited to the high season. Modification and improvements to park facilities and areas are being carried out continuously. The company shall not be liable in respect of their non-availability or otherwise due to circumstances beyond their control. The park has limited facilities for teenagers. 


  • Shamba Holidays welcomes and seeks to accommodate all types of disability where possible. When placing an enquiry with our park, staff make a point of ascertaining if any guest or party has particular disabilities in the most sensitive and courteous way possible and thereafter assess if we have the appropriate facilities to cater for that guest or party. 
  • Our physical facilities for the disabled are listed as follows: 
  • Completely level site 
  • Ramped access to games room, clubhouse, reception, shop, toilet & shower room, wash up area and launderette and swimming facilities 
  • Dedicated toilet and shower facilities for the disabled in main toilet/shower block and in main clubhouse 
  • Information centre on level 
  • Paths/tracks are all wheelchair friendly 
  • Other disabilities are catered for where possible and applicable. If the needs of the disability cannot be met, then the guest is informed at the point of enquiry/booking and where possible an alternative recommendation is given.
