New Forest Autumn Foraging

New Forest Foraging

The Autumn Foraging Courses is the perfect way to explore the New Forest and forage for some of nature's tastiest offerings.

The day starts off at the Red Shoot Inn, a pub located in the west of the New Forest, where an introduction will be given on what to look for and general countryside etiquette.

There's plenty of food to sample on the way. The walk lasts 2-3 hours with a champagne and wild mushroom soup pit stop along the way. Sample a wild food lunch with treats based on the day’s findings  - wild salad and a mushroom dish that is cooked right in front of you.

Dates are Friday 19th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st October from 12 to 3:30 pm (approximate end).

The Hampshire Farmers Market (located just outside the New Forest) brings together a group of passionate people from across the county, with the best quality, affordable and delicious local food and drink.

Whether you love beer, bread, cake, or fruit and veg, you wil find a fantastic range of food and drink at the market to take your pick!

The producers are usually more than happy to have a chat about their craft, e.g. what  other foods and drink works best with their produce to how it’s made.

The Hampshire's Farmers Market takes place on the Saturday 27th October and 24th November
