Shamba Holidays is situated on the boundary of Hampshire and Dorset midway between Bournemouth and the New Forest. 
 
The New Forest less than 3 miles away comprises over 490 square miles of National Forest and heathland, where wildlife wanders in its natural habitat. There are many picturesque villages and market towns in the forest worth visiting. A great place to explore on foot, bicycle or horseback and don’t forget your picnic. The vibrant holiday resort of Bournemouth is within easy access for shops, sandy beaches, restaurants and theatres. The harbour towns of Poole and Christchurch, the Cathedral City of Salisbury and Wimbourne Minster are within easy reach. 
 
Our local market town of Ringwood is less than 8 mins drive away and has most major banks and building societies. It hosts many shops and has two large supermarkets. It also offers some excellent cafes and restaurants and is well worth a visit. 
 
Shamba Holidays is ideally situated for all our local attractions. The award winning Moors Valley Country Park with its play areas, model steam train, adventure play trail, tree top walk, golf course and fishing lake is less than three miles away. 
 
Twenty minutes drive to Ower brings you to Paultons Park. A young family theme park with numerous rides, wildlife gardens and museums. Simply a must if you have children aged between 3 and 12. Or, why not take a visit to Adventure Wonderland, previously known as Alice in Wonderland, a fabulous theme park aimed at the younger families from toddlers upwards, that offers rides, its famous maze, play/adventure areas, shows and a huge indoor play centre, and all just a short drive from Shamba. 
 
Near Winchester, the world renowned Marwell Zoo can be found, suitable for all ages. For older children, there is Tower Park in Poole with Multiplex cinemas, bowling and a variety of food outlets. 
 
The Oceanarium on Bournemouth sea front is an underwater, around the world experience and it is well worth a visit. The Purbecks with beautiful Studland Bay and Corfe Castle are only half an hour away. 
 
If it’s horse riding, fishing or golfing you want to turn your hand to, all can be found close by. Maybe you are a fan of markets or car boot sales - there are plenty to choose from!

Riverside's fabulous location makes it an ideal base from which to attend a host of international events that take place in the local area. These events include the renowned Southampton Boat Show, Cowes Week or the Hamble Regatta. 
 
The list of Local Attractions is endless and includes: 
HAMBLE VILLAGE – with its cobbled main street lined with olde worlde pubs, coffee shops and an excellent choice of restaurants. Beautiful views of the River Hamble from the waterfront, where you can take a boat trip or sit and admire the fabulous yachts. This is where you will also find the public slipway. 
 
THE NEW FOREST – where you will find the famous New Forest pony, many beautiful villages and towns including Lymington and Lyndhurst, Beaulieu and Bucklers Hard and so much more. 
 
BEAULIEU – NATIONAL MOTOR MUSEUM, PALACE HOUSE & GARDENS - The unique motor museum with so much to see and do for all the family and your admission covers your entrance to the Palace House and Gardens, the Abbey and Monastic Life exhibition as well as the motor museum itself. 
 
HISTORIC PORTSMOUTH – so much to see and do including the historic ships – The Warrior, The Mary Rose and The Victory. Naval museums and D-Day history. Fun at the Pyramid Centre, Portchester Castle and the fabulous boardwalk at Port Solent. 
 
ISLE OF WIGHT –why not take a day trip to the beautiful Wight Island with so much to see and do, so easily accessible from either Southampton or Portsmouth on foot or taking your own car. 
 
HISTORIC WINCHESTER – with its beautiful cathedral and other historic buildings and excellent shopping centre. 
 
SOUTHAMPTON – so easily accessible from Hamble, providing excellent shopping facilities, and a museum with The Titanic exhibition, or why not follow the Titanic Trail. Ocean Village and Town Quay are full of bars and restaurants along their boardwalk. Leisure World is where you will find the amazing cinema complex, casino, bars and nightclubs. The new West Quay complex is a shopper's heaven, located right in the middle of Southampton City Centre, And, of course, Southampton is famous for the Boat Show!
